Drs. Marcin Karcz and Peter Papadakos, along with colleagues at the Charite in Berlin, Drs. Schwaiberger and Lachmann, published a paper, "Lungs in Critical Care: New Look at Old Practices", in the Mt. Sinai Journal of Medicine, 2012, Vol 79(1), 116-122.  The paper covers surfactant dysfunction and cytomodulation and the relationship of sedation and lung function.
