The University of Rochester Medical Center is embarking on the construction of a free standing pediatric hospital. In preparation for the opening of Golisano Children's Hospital, we are recruiting 1-2 pediatric anesthesiologists to join our group of fellowship trained pediatric anesthesia specialists. Golisano Children's Hospital at Strong is the regional referral center for children with expanding clinical services for a population of 2.2 million. The Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology works closely with our surgical colleagues and pediatric nursing teams in all subspecialty areas of pediatric surgery. Growing inpatient and outpatient services in the full spectrum of pediatric surgical subspecialties are well established with 6000 cases/year. Specific training and/or experience in pediatric cardiac anesthesia is desired but not necessary. Those who wish to maintain their skills in adult anesthesiology are welcomed. An academic position is available with competitive compensation package at all ranks, tailored to individual interests in clinical service, teaching, and scholarly activity.
